چکیده

We explore dark matter in the Finely Tuned Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model recently proposed by Arkani-Hamed and Dimopoulos. Relative to the MSSM, there are fewer particles at freezeout, so the calculation of the relic abundance simplifies. Similarly, the predictions for direct detection of the dark matter sharpen. There is a large region of mixed bino–higgsino dark matter where the lightest supersymmetric particle will be accessible at both the LHC and future direct detection experiments, allowing for a conclusive identification of the dark matter particle. Typical dark matter-nucleon cross sections are 10−45−10−44 cm. This model also possesses a novel region where the dark matter annihilates via an s-channel Higgs boson resonance. ∗AP is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy under contract number DE-AC0376SF00515.

About direct Dark Matter detection in Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

Direct dark matter detection is considered in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). The effective neutralino-quark Lagrangian is obtained and event rates are calculated for the Ge isotope. Accelerator and cosmological constraints on the NMSSM parameter space are included. By means of scanning the parameter space at the Fermi scale we show that the lightest neutralino could ...

Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model and direct Dark Matter detection

Prospects for direct dark matter detection are considered in the Next-to-Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (NMSSM). The effective neutralino-quark Lagrangian is obtained and event rates are calculated for Ge. Accelerator and cosmological constraints on the NMSSM are included in our numerical analysis, which allows us to conclude that the lightest neutralino from NMSSM could be detected in f...

Dark matter, constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model, and lattice QCD.

Recent lattice measurements have given accurate estimates of the quark condensates in the proton. We use these results to significantly improve the dark matter predictions in benchmark models within the constrained minimal supersymmetric standard model. The predicted spin-independent cross sections are at least an order of magnitude smaller than previously suggested and our results have signifi...

Particle Physics Approach to Dark Matter

We review the main proposals of particle physics for the composition of the cold dark matter in the universe. Strong axion contribution to cold dark matter is not favored if the Peccei-Quinn field emerges with non-zero value at the end of inflation and the inflationary scale is superheavy since, under these circumstances, it leads to unacceptably large isocurvature perturbations. The lightest n...

Sneutrino Cold Dark Matter in Extended Mssm Models

A thorough analysis of sneutrinos as dark matter candidates is performed, in different classes of supersymmetric models, as is typically done for the neutralino dark matter. First in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, sneutrinos are marginally compatible with existing experimental bounds, including direct detection, provided they compose a subdominant component of dark matter. Then supe...
